The Electronics Quality Technician reports to the Quality Supervisor and supports quality assurance, testing, inspection, and manufacturing operations within an electronics production environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products meet quality standards and customer requirements while supporting production and continuous improvement initiatives.
The position is on-site daily, Monday through Friday.
The following is a list of current essential job functions. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as needed.
? Perform visual and functional inspections of printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic assemblies, and components to verify compliance with quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
? Conduct soldering, rework, repair, and replacement of through-hole and surface-mount components.
? Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and work instructions to support inspection, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
? Perform product testing, validation, and troubleshooting while accurately recording results and documenting defects or non-conformances.
? Utilize multimeters, hand tools, and electronic testing equipment to evaluate product functionality and quality.
? Maintain accurate quality records and assist with quality data collection, reporting, and root cause investigations.
? Support the calibration, maintenance, and proper operation of quality control and testing equipment.
? Follow ESD handling procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards when working with sensitive electronic components.
? Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve product issues and improve manufacturing processes.
? Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting inventory, material handling, and general production activities.
? Perform other related duties as assigned.
? High School Diploma or GED.
? Minimum 1 year of experience in electronics manufacturing, assembly, testing, quality control, or a related environment.
? Experience performing soldering, rework, and inspection of electronic components and assemblies.
? Familiarity with electronic test equipment, including multimeters and common hand tools.
? Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
? Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
? Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
? IPC certification or equivalent electronics manufacturing training.
? Understanding of electronic circuits, RF systems, and digital electronics.
? Experience with manufacturing quality standards, inspections, and testing procedures.
? Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
? Experience supporting continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
? Demonstrated reliability, organization, and attention to detail.
? Occasional exposure to varying temperatures within manufacturing and warehouse environments.
? While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to:
? Bend, reach, kneel, and squat to access equipment, inventory, and workstations.
? Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
? Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
? Perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with inspection, soldering, and testing activities.
? Work with small electronic components requiring close visual attention and manual dexterity.
